election process
well as things are going and since im not well informed on anything, i think the election process could use a bit of adjustment. well a whole lot of adjustment.
1: posting on the forum is ok, but this kinda corrupts anyones views of what they want when they see what everyone else going for another person. (all nominations should 1st be sent to Hunted and then once he has them all after a day or so he posts them here or/and by mass message)
2: time table, if the 1-2 week extinction goes threw i suggest the last week be used to start the process, or very least last few days. (this will keep the current RC doing things in case they stay RC and the nominees can tell the proposal to be elected, also with ahead notice members can get a idea for who they want. if this goes threw Saturday starts the nominations, by Tuesday/Wednesday start voting with each nominee giving there speech, and end voting Sunday and have the RC that day or Monday)
3: Voting, the voting should be done as well by someone independent and trust worthy like hunted or someone else everyone knows and can trust. (this keeps the same as my 1st change fair for all nominations)
anyway thats just my thoughts on the matter, any of this taken can be changed and voted on.

Re: election process
I agree with what you're saying, LI, but I think it's more a matter of not everyone being aware of how the process works. HS has asked in the past that nominations be PM'd to him (privately sent, not as a circular or here on the forum, for folks not familiar with the term PM) and he will post the candidates once the time for nominations has closed.
The idea to use the last week to get things rolling is excellent and is part of what I had in mind when I was thinkin that a lot of the RC's time gets used very ineffectively with re-arranging things. I think if we try to keep the actual vote itself to being posted on here only, rather than here or in-game or anywhere else at random, we can all see the actual tallies as they come in. If we do have people that PM their votes, cut and paste them here so they'll still be accounted for. Although, I would think that there is very little likelihood of someone "rigging" the elections for a game
EDIT TO ADD: Ok, I take it back, since I just saw HauntedSteel's post about nominations in the other thread... the first RC election I belive he asked that votes be PM'd to him, not this most recent one So I guess it'd be a matter of returning to the other way of doing things. Although, not that many people posted in there as far as the nominations went, so maybe most are still using the other method?

Re: election process
Yea I had them do a combined thing, most still send me their PM's... Its tough to get this forum started. Not everyone really pays attention. Maybe we can start using the In-game board more to help with the confusion.
Re: election process
ya... that might help and as you said we have nothing to hid on there so if a spy does get in it wouldn't matter and if we do need something important to discuses we can use the chat room since usually the most active people use it.
